Q: There are lines on every scan.

Scanners

Q: There are lines on every scan.
A: Please re-calibrate the scanner, and make sure that the two arrows on the calibration sheet are facing up and into the scanner.

Q: After scanning the OCR fields are not populating. I have calibrated and have been able to scan the card but no text in the fields.
A: Make sure the image is facing down, re-calibrate the scanner, re-start Outlook.

Q: The scanner cannot be located under the Device Manager.
A: Plug the USB cable to a similar USB port on the computer. The scanner should be located under Imaging.

A: Plug-in to a different USB port.

Q: I came across this message after installing the scanner: "Class Installer Has Denied the Request to Install or Update the Driver".
A: The scanning software stopped working after a virus was detected on the computer. These conditions usually indicate that there is a virus (or more than one) on the computer. You will need to remove the virus before reinstalling our product again.

Calibration

Q: What does the calibration sheet look like?
A: Calibration comes with the scanner in the box and there are black stripes either on one side or both sides of the sheet. If not found, determine the scanner model and download a printable copy from our website:

Q: There are lines when scanning a document after re calibration.
A: Delete the calibration file under c:\document and settings\all users\application data\card scanning solutions and go to the scanner folder and delete everything in there, then re-calibrate the scanner.

Duplex scanning

Q: I cannot do a duplex scan on the DocketPort 687 scanner with Medicscan.
A: Please close MedicScan and/or restart the application and make sure the duplex is configured under in the configuration setting.

Q: My computer doesn´t detect the snapshell camera.
A: Re-install MedicScan and be sure to include the snapshell camera driver during the installation. After the installation, plug in the snapshell camera.

A: Use the CD that came with it and include the snapshell pre-install driver during the installation.
